Show me Your Glory
Over the past 14 days we’ve been in a conversation with God … and one another. We've spent time seeking a new perspective on life, encouraging one another, praying for one another and seeking divine guidance on how to live an intentional life of Worship and Wisdom.
Over the last 6 days of our Fasting Season we’ve focused on Wonders.
What are you thinking about?
When you think of Wonders, what do you think of? Manifestations of healing, prophesies or words of wisdom?
Do you think of community, acceptance, unimaginable worship and preaching. A thirst for more of God?
Do you measure God's glory by people coming to salvation, being discipled, and the church impacting our community.
We've seen and felt the power of God's creation thunder His greatness, in ways that defies understanding … But we want more.
We want to get to know the creator who makes it happen. We want God to share more of Himself.
The most audacious of prayers
During a conversation that Moses had with God, Exodus 33: 12—21, Moses states;
“If your Presence does to go with us, do not send us up from here. 16How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of there earth?”
God responded: “I will do the very thing you have asked because I am pleased with You and I know you by name.”18Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
Our God is open handed
God longs to pour out His glory on Earth, and His tool of choice is us.
Consider this: God longs to bless our families, community and nations through you and me. Wow!
If that doesn't stop you in your tracks for a moment … what will!
Just think … of the privilege!
Just think … of the responsibility!
Just think … that an unlimited God has placed this eternal plan in our limited hands!
The limiting factor! When I think of God's grace I think of a fire hydrant.
The hydrant can be turned;
off … No flow.
partially open … allowing only a few drops or trickle.
fully open … stand clear!
The limiting factor is the person turning the handle … that's you and me.
How much do you want it?
We talk about;
wanting God to break through in our lives.
living a life of purpose and intention.
seeing God do things beyond our understanding.
BUT—
There is a cost
Cost—Am I prepared to pay the price? – It may be money, time, it may be … (you choose). – It's the conversation that must take place between me (you) and God. … That's when the straight taking takes place!
Comfort zone—Comfort zones will be stretched, broken … smashed!
God's blessings are there for the asking
God's want his children to live a life of blessings, grace and power.
His plan is to invade and bless the world, and He has called us to partner with Him.
Are you prepared to be chosen? (Matthew 22:14, NIV.)
Does God trust us to use His gifts and our talents wisely?
The extent to which God allows His power to be released into our families, community and nation is limited by the extent that we are willing to listen, trust and obey.

Je t'dore!
Have you noticed that God uses nature and creation to shout his glory.
I remember gazing into the eyes of my newborn children. My eyes welled with awe at God's magnificent handiwork.
I gaze at the moon, the planets and myriad of stars, stretching beyond my vision and am awe struck.
I have felt the power of a river in flood and tentatively stepped forward in fear for my life, and wondered at the power of God who created it.
I have looked though a microscope and seen cells multiply before my eyes.
The wonders of creation —macro and micro, astound me.
There are times when all I can say is, 'Je t'dore!' (I adore you!)
The choice is mine What do I choose to do with God's fire hydrant of grace?
keep the tap closed and disregard His claim to my life?
open it a little, and remain in my comfort zone—but live a life of regrets and insignificance?
open the hydrant wide, and let God's grace impact my life and the lives of my family, community, state and nation?
Am I willing to open myself to the scrutiny of God … and change?
Today's challenge Ask yourself:
Am I prepared to pay the price in full?—To be taken outside of my comfort zone … and face the consequences of my decision to be a disciple of Jesus—regardless?
Do I care about my family and my community to fully surrender to God’s will and ride the roller coaster of … living an authentic Christian life?
