Our Commitment to Child Safety

At NWBC, we believe that every child and young person has the right to feel safe, be safe
and thrive in an environment of love, respect and protection. We are fully committed to
upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards, which guides our practices, policies and
culture to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care. We
also extend these fundamental safeguarding principles to include vulnerable adults, affirming
our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.

We are a safe church and have a zero tolerance of all forms of harm and abuse.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge that this is God’s land and God’s Spirit dwells here. As we gather in the presence of God, we acknowledge with respect the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet. In his wisdom and love, our Heavenly Father gave this land to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation (see Acts 17:26). As we now live together on these lands, we pray that God would unite us all in the knowledge of his Son, Jesus Christ, in whom all things were created, in heaven and earth, whether visible or invisible – for all things have been created through Him and for Him.
